He has an account of who does what and then serves justice upon the person's death. According to Hindu beliefs, Chitragupta Puja helps to remove illiteracy and poverty. Post the Diwali celebrations, Chitragupta puja is celebrated in the honour of Lord Chitragupta.

God is someone unknown and controls our actions and decisions. He writes our destiny. He's not in a specific idol or form. God is an invisible power in the form of belief.

Indian northern states : Hindu name Bania, Kayasth , from Hindi lala, a term of respect , used especially for members of Vaisya and Kayasth communities; typically bankers, merchants, tradesmen, schoolmasters, and clerks. It is probably related to Lal. In post-Raj assessments, the Bengali Kayasthas , alongside Bengali Brahmins, have been described as the "highest Hindu castes".

According to Christian Novetzke, in medieval India, Kayastha in certain parts were considered either as Brahmins or equal to Brahmins. What is difference between Kayastha and Brahmin?

Chitragupta Puja is performed two days after the celebration of Diwali on Kartik Amavasya. Shani Dev is known as the God of justice, and a popular deity that Hindus pray to ward off evil and obstacles from life. Chaitra Pournami is an Indian festival celebrated by Hindus. The festival is dedicated to Chitragupta, a Hindu god who is believed to record humans' good and bad deeds for Yama, the Hindu god of death and the underworld.

On this day, devotees ask Chitragupta to forgive their sins. Fate is what puts opportunities in front of us but our destiny is ultimately determined by our decisions. For instance, if you go to a party and meet the perfect guy that was fate. Chitragupta Maharaj decides whether you go to heaven or hell, depending on your actions on earth.

He is the Kula Devatha of Kayasthas and the accounts keeper of our deeds as you and I know him. There are obviously not many temples dedicated to Chitragupta, but Hyderabad has a Chitragupta temple near the Kandigal Gate and near Uppaguda Metro station.

The other Chitragupta temples are in Lucknow, Kancheepuram and Ujjain; the Ujjain temple is supposedly the oldest. A broad Uppaguda flyover diminishes the magnitude of the temple, with continuous noise and hum of traffic. Also you might simply miss the fact that you have to go below the flyover. Both entry and exit are from one side and that too is a narrow bottleneck. Earlier the temple was built on seven acres of land, but quite a bit has been taken away for the flyover. Some part of the land has also been handed over to build an Ayyappa temple.

While the Ramalayam and Shivalayam and a temple are dedicated to Shirdi Saibaba and are within the Chitragupta temple complex, seamlessly attached to the year-old temple, there is a tall and handsome Hanuman statue just outside the temple with another building which houses the Navagrahas and another temple under an old peepul tree, housing a Dakshinamukhi Aanjaneya.

Worshipping him and performing abhishekam on a Wednesday helps. Kalam Dawat literally meaning pen and inkpot, because Chitragupta was a data collector anyway. He founded this samaj in And a lot of miracles have happened in this temple including people getting married, getting jobs and getting back their good health. While it might sound strange that the aide of Yama has a temple to his name, he is also the patron saint of the Kayasth community.

He is one of the Trinity gods who is responsible for any activity or energy of creation. Hence, in Hindu dharma, it is believed that Lord Brahma is the one who created the world and among different layers of the world, one is Yamaloka. After creating Yamaloka, Lord Brahma appointed Lord Yamaraj to monitor and execute the cycle of life and death.

However, there was one problem. There are many forms of life, as much as 84 lakhs life forms on Earth. Hence, Lord Yamaraj replied that is was not possible for him to execute the task. Hence, it is said that to solve the crisis, Lord Brahma meditated for ages at the bank of Shipra River , that lies in Ujjain. Finally, after a lot of penance, a Lord emerged out from the the body of Lord Brahma himself, who is known as Lord Chitragupta.

Legends say, Lord Brahma had many sons and daughters, including many seers born from his mind and many sons born of his body. The story of the birth of Chitragupta is related in different ways, but he is nearly always delineated differently from the other children of Lord Brahma. Lord Chitragupta is the Chief Justice of Yamaloka. Chitragupta is a Hindu god assigned with the task of keeping complete records of actions of human beings on the Earth.
