Our long time local vegetable lady, Valerie Jollimore, has been serving the residents of Queens County and area for as long as I can remember. She can be seen in the market day after day, no matter the weather, providing fresh produce to all. Valerie is one of THE most dedicated hard-working women I know. So I knew something was not right when her stand was no longer in the farmers' market location. Sadly, Valerie has been diagnosed with cancer.
