How does warped tour seating work

Originally conceived by founder Kevin Lyman in as an eclectic alternative rock festival, with a focus on punk rock, over the years the tour has grown to include a multitude of genres, including metal, hip hop, reggae, pop and more. It remains one of the best tours to attend to discover emerging acts, to learn more about wonderful non-profits and companies who are working to make a positive impact on the world that surround them, and to meet like-minded friends.

The Vans Warped Tour is not for all, but every summer I look forward to seeing those fans who do chose to come and engage and be a positive force in our community.

In addition, the tour continues to host a wide array of amazing non-profits and educational workshops for attendees. Fans can see their favorite bands as well as become educated on these causes and how they can help. Sierra Lyman comments, "Music has inspired change and social change has inspired music. And it's degrees. But although a little overindulgence in Sin City can ruffle the equilibrium, the Warped Tour, which started 18 years ago with a wild bunch of punk rockers and skaters, is a smooth, well-coordinated professional effort that respects and nurtures the mostly indie musicians; they're even served homemade meals.

And tour organizers make the massive effort work without losing the event's punkish, freewheeling soul. Road trips are a way of life for musicians, but traveling with plus other bands to 41 cities requires more than a functioning van and cash for Taco Bell. Lyman, along with the or so other behind-the-scenes Warped Tour staff members in charge of ferrying, feeding, hydrating and handling equipment for the bands throughout North America, is looking forward to the 18th annual tour's stop in Ventura at the Ventura County Fairgrounds on Sunday.

Shelleylyn Brandler, owner-operator of TaDa! Johnny Palladino, parking site coordinator, has to figure out where to position a caravan of vehicles, including 50 buses, 18 semitrailer tractor trucks and a retinue of RVs, vans and cars filled with musicians, tour managers, production crews, sponsors, vendors and caterers.

Ventura, he said, "is a very tight venue. But we've done it for time immemorial, so we have a good plan. Driving often happens overnight, and the travel schedule can be grueling.

Although start times vary at each venue, the concerts on seven stages begin around noon, with the gates opening a little earlier.
